About JR ItalyMy Lawyer in Italy (MLI) is a law firm that specializes in Italian dual citizenship, inheritance, and real estate sales/purchases. Our office is located in Orvieto, serving clients from the United States and other English-speaking countries.
The Role
The Documentation Assistant in the Citizenship team performs crucial tasks in collecting and reviewing documents for Italian citizenship court cases, while keeping clients informed of progress at required times. The Documentation Assistant is trained by and follows the guidance of their Supervisor and the Managing Partner.
Key Responsibilities
• Setting up, managing, and updating dual citizenship client cases using our case management system.
• Checking documents in English and Italian, evaluating them in the context of the client's legal case.
• Communicating with dual citizenship clients via email, phone/video call, and in person.
• Updating and reporting on cases to the Documentation Supervisor, and colleagues in Citizenship, Translation, and Accounting.
Essential Skills and Qualities
• Attention to detail and ability to maintain concentration when analyzing and reviewing a large quantity of diverse documents.
• A collaborative nature that enjoys teamwork, asking questions, and solving problems with colleagues.
• Advanced English (C1) and good Italian – spoken and written.
• Confident user of the Internet and cloud software (e.g., Google Workspace), quick learner on new software and equipment.
• Comfortable speaking and listening to clients regularly on phone or video calls, in English.
• Good time management.
• Professional and polite attitude at all times, appropriate to a law firm.
• Respectful of privacy and confidentiality at all times.
